Brideshead’s comeback is not a nod to Evelyn Waugh’s novel, but a reality in Madrid Popfest 2016. Born in 1993 under the name of Starfish, they debuted two years later with the This is Mall! Music EP in Apricot Records. After getting to their final line up with Martin Nelte, Zwen Keller, Hanns Christian Mahler, Paul Engling and Daniel Kubsch, the band from Frankfurt recorded their first full-length called Some People Have All the Fun, where it was possible to hear influences such as Orange Juice, Brilliant Corners and The Pale Saints. The follow-up LP in 2002, was called In and Out Love, compiling singles and EPs as well as some new songs. Sadly, they were quite from some time, coming back with an appetizer in 2010 in the form of EP, quite appropriately called Comeback. Finally, this year we got their third album, Never Grow Up, another declaration of intentions, always loyal to Sarah Records spirit, bringing in their natural luminosity and elegance.
