The Scottish 5-piece was one of the essential bands in the birth of what is known as the C-86, a movement which occupied the British charts during the 80s with their hectic guitar pop and included bands such as The Pastels, The Wedding Present, The Shop Assistants, Primal Scream and McCarthy, to name a few. Notwithstandint the two wonderful LPs that they released on Fire Records (‘Foxhead stalks this land’ and ‘Headache Rethoric’), the magic of their songs truly lays in the amazing EPs that they recorded between 1986 and 1989, which include such huge songs as ‘Going to heaven to see if it rains’, ‘Never seen before’, ‘Firestation towers’, ‘Let’s make some plans’ and ‘What is there to smile about’. A couple of years ago, Fire Records released some of their hits under a compilation CD called ‘Forever, until victory’ and today, in 2012, they’re making a comeback after an abscence of over 20 years. They have chosen Madrid as the first stop of their European mini-tour.
